AGM 2019

A hardy group of 16 gathered for the AGM on a chilly night at Seafield Bowling Club.

The meeting opened with a tribute to two of our long term members Robin Morris and Richard Ellis both active members of the Society. As well as members they were both active in their community and enjoy a wide variety of activities and interests. The numbers paying their respects at their Funeral and Memorial Service is testament to the high regard they were held in.

All of the usual business of an AGM was discussed and considered by all present.

Being the 275th Anniversary year of the signing of the first recorded rules of golf in Leith there were very interested comments from members enquiring if the unveiling was possible in this year. An interesting discussion on the current financial position and the future plans was well received by all present. The issues of on-going maintenance and security was raised and discussed. The work of the Statue Committee was supported by all present.
