Challenge match versus Bruntsfield Short Hole at Leith Links - 4th July 2013

"For a memorable golfing experience using traditional hickory clubs, come to Leith Links and play on the very turf where golf's earliest rules were written"

The Society's record in these challenge matches with our friends from Bruntsfield is not good, to say the least. However, this year we managed to double our victories, coming out on top by 2
-1, the score in the series now being 4-2 in favour of our always welcome visitors.

The match results were -

Douglas Foulis and Robin Morris lost to Paul Middleton and Clark Munro
Eugene Bradley and Chester Kruk finished all square with Jimmy Robertson and William Wright
Alastair Chalmers & Alex Fleming defeated Fraser Gordon and Stuart Thomson
Pat Denzler and Steven Doyle defeated Ian Hislop and John Hargreaves
