Outing to Hill of Tarvit  - 22nd May 2010

Our second outing to Hill of Tarvit found the same weather as the first - gloriously sunny; this ensured that the 12 members could not blame the weather conditions for their performance. The only complaint that would have been allowed was that of heat exhaustion.

The competition was Stableford over 2 rounds using the 1924 style golf ball. The winner was Eugene Bradley who had an excellent round considering the bag of clubs he picked up had a driver and 4 mashie niblicks in it. He did resort to a better mixture for the second round which seems to have worked for him. Runner up was Robin Morris with Joan Graham coming in third place on a better score in the second round

As always we were made very welcome by David and Michelle who provided large amounts of shortbread and ginger beer to ensure we could complete the course.

The prizes for the outing were provided by Chester Kruk, last years winner, who was unable to defend his title. Hopefully he will get a chance next year.

David and Michelle, together with all the others in their organisation, are deserving of the highest praise for their continued work at this unique venue. We encourage everyone to have a go at the course, we are sure you will not be disappointed, though we cannot guarantee you the same weather that we have had two years' running!
