Outing to Liberton- 9th September 2016

For the 5th time, we visited Liberton for our autumn outing using modern clubs. 7 players teed off in overcast conditions, which quickly got a lot worse, the rain never really stopped during the entire round. But even though almost all the members playing on the course gave up, we all battled bravely on to earn our supper.

The winner was last year's runner-up, Robin Miller, with 39 Stableford points, coming home with 23, though amassing 8 points on the 10th and 11th certainly got him going. He then slumped badly at the 12th with only a net birdie! Well done, Robin, a thoroughly deserved win.

Runner-up was Brian Graham with 35, followed by Alister Lawrie on his home course with 34.

Nearest the pin winners were Alastair Chalmers at the 8th, after a "measure" with Robin Miller, who upped his game at the 11th to win the second NTP.
