Challenge match versus Musselburgh Old Golf Club at Leith Links - 1st July 2015

"For a memorable golfing experience using traditional hickory clubs, come to Leith Links and play on the very turf where golf's earliest rules were written"

Leith - and elsewhere - was enjoying a couple of days of fantastic weather, we knew it couldn't last and by mid-afternoon the temperature had dropped and we had a "smir" of rain during the round.

This match is normally a close-run affair, this year was no exception, with Musselburgh the victors by 3 - 2. So our guests just edge ahead again in the series 5-4. The match results were -

Ken Gordon & Jim Hunter lost to Billy Finnegan & Paul Marshall
Jim Maguire & Eugene Bradley lost to Alastair Scoots & Steven Peters
Fraser Paterson & Pat Denzler lost to Anton Larner and Grant Campbell
Jim Scanlon % Alex Fleming defeated Jimmy Duffield & Rab Little
Alastair Chalmers & Steven Doyle defeated Colin Whoriskey and Euan Glen
