Challenge match versus Musselburgh Old Golf Club at Leith Links - 6th July 2016

"For a memorable golfing experience using traditional hickory clubs, come to Leith Links and play on the very turf where golf's earliest rules were written"

Once again we welcomed to the Links our friends from Musselburgh Old. As always the match was played in the right spirit with each team hoping to get the edge over the other but all done in the nicest possible way.

The winners this year were Leith Rules by a score of 2 - 1, so a close run thing once again. This means that the overall series score has been levelled up again at 5-5. The match results were -

Alex Fleming and Alastair Chalmers defeated Grant Campbell and Anton Larner
Robin Miller and Alison Macdonald defeated Cliff Livingston and Steven Hill
Robin Morris and Steven Doyle halved with Stephen Peters and Callum Livingston
David Clark and Jim Scanlon halved with Eddie Whoriskey and Billy Finnegan
Chester Kruk and Brian Graham lost to Colin Whoriskey and Keith Harris

We welcomed to our team two new Society members David Clark and Alison Macdonald who are both very welcome additions to our playing section.
