Challenge match versus Musselburgh Old Golf Club at Leith Links - 4th July 2018

"For a memorable golfing experience using traditional hickory clubs, come to Leith Links and play on the very turf where golf's earliest rules were written"

Once again we welcomed to the Links our friends from Musselburgh Old. We have been in the middle of a heatwave, so the course was very burnt and fiery, some interesting bounces were on the cards!

As usual the matches were close-fought, Musselburgh running out winners by 2
- 1. The after golf drinks and the now customary pie and beans were taken in the Bowling Club.

The result means that the overall series now stands at 6-6. The match results were -

Alex Fleming and Alastair Chalmers halved with Colin Whoriskey and Alex McGregor
John Dixon and Ian Hislop defeated  Paul Marshall and Eddie Whoriskey
Chester Kruk and Iain Whyte lost to Blair and Andrew Murray
Jim Scanlon and Ian Thompson lost to Mike McGovern and Ian Boggif

This year we welcomed 2 new players to our matches, Ian Thompson and Iain Whyte. Although they were on the losing side in their matches we know they enjoyed the experience and hope they will continue to play for us in future matches, welcome aboard guys!
